狭长的原始结构，中间只有高窗采光。空间互动更好的通风，色彩上以白色为基础色，配以胡桃木色书架，让色彩重量均衡。

   搭出部分夹层增加面积，将相对私密的vip室和品茶区放置在二层。夹层下设置洗手间和儿童区，书画表演区，连接入大堂，让大堂更加宽敞。

整合入口对面二层围栏相关元素和夹层柱结构，以中式官帽为设计灵感，设计成管帽玄关，包裹着书画表演区，同时迎接来客。
    在走廊的开始，从儿童房伸出一扇斜窗，丰富走廊空间层次的同时，可见儿童区域中自己的孩子。区域半封闭，易于儿童集中精力，和亲子共读。

作为闲书馆的过渡空间，在走廊保留挑高空间，用宽高的黄金比例，把走廊再加宽。将走廊变身为阅览空间和展示区，高至顶的书架，立现出知识殿堂的气势。选用高度1200mm的鸟笼灯，增加空间的层次，成组吊装，自成一景。

一层的走廊成为二层的配景，二层的围栏成为一层的景致。仅仅在人字形屋顶最高处局部吊顶，用中式宫灯的阵列形式，为一层走廊和二层茶室，同时提供照明和装饰。共享自然采光和通风。

在夹层过渡空间处，利用走廊挑空高度，设计第二道门头，和入口门头和官帽玄关相呼应。洗手间两侧对开，中间墙面搭摆中式边柜和展件，成为过渡空间的景致。

穿过夹层过渡区，是205平米书海挑高空间，靠四边墙壁至顶书架，呼应走廊的气势，中间区域为可移动式书架，在有场地需求时，可推到一侧。为会议、小型发布会、读书分享会等提供活动场地。

在间隔书海区的二层墙面，别出心裁的设计了外扬的玻璃隔断，纵览书海区全景，将沿窗设置长凳也为保安全。特别是在有活动的时候，更加提升了VIP室一揽全局的尊贵和最佳录制点。在书海区，外扬的玻璃墙面成为最有特色的结构层次。

Original structure is very long and narrow. Many windows are located high on the wall and they provide a high degree of ventilation. Interior walls, ceilings are white with walnut bookshelves providing a balanced colour scheme.

Area is divided into two floors;  a main floor and a mezzanine area. Top floor includes a VIP area that is private as well as a tea area.

On the main floor and located beneath the mezzanine are located, washrooms, children’s play area, as well as an area for Chinese calligraphy and art demonstration areas. These areas have direct access to the lobby and create a more spacious foyer area.

Opposite the entrance to the library main entrance, to add to the aesthetics, the area below the mezzanine is partially obscured by the addition of partition wall the shape of which is inspired by the ancient mandarin Chinese Governmental hat design. This addition is not merely an obscuring wall. Culturally it is a highly desirable shape that is perceived as a welcoming feature understood by the people of China. Additionally it serves, as a partition that will provide a barrier for distractions so that the children will better be able to focus on reading. Within the corridor, a slanted viewing window has been incorporated into the wall so as to permit viewing of the children’s reading /play area.

The corridor accesses all rooms as well as the mezzanine area. It is a floor to ceiling, open area, that allows for increased natural light and ventilation. The corridor is designed to follow a 0.618 (width/height ratio). With the floor to ceiling aspect it becomes a functional reading space, display area etc. Additionally the floor to ceiling design of the corridor produces a high degree of grandeur. The bookshelves are set to be of maximum functional height, which further adds to the imposing feel of this corridor area.  This area is fitted with 1200 mm birdcage lights, which light the second floor mezzanine area also. These lights coupled with the natural light from the windows also provides for scenic viewing for the corridor as well as the mezzanine.

Between the male and female washroom entrances the Chinese motif is continued with the addition of Chinese art, and a Chinese cabinet, topped by an artistic piece of Chinese jade carving. Opposite this area are movable shelves, which allow for increasing space if needed for conferences, meetings, or social activities. There are 205 meters of floor to ceiling bookshelves that further enhance the grandeur of the corridor.  Separating this area from the second floor VIP area and the corridor is a unique glass wall with a sea panorama design.

Seating is located in front of it to provide additional safety. This glass wall becomes the most distinctive and noticeable feature.
