"蜂鸟"咖啡一直是三里屯太古里北区一个显眼的地标。当我们的长期合作伙伴太古集团邀请我们为"蜂鸟"量身定制一个升级版时我们很兴奋能有机会接受这个挑战。

项目与企业目标都是要把"蜂鸟"咖啡的意大利渊源表现出来，因为目前的室内空间已老旧，而且给顾客一种很冷漠的感觉。我们的第一个行动是利用简洁的熟铁，花砖，水磨石以及重用清洁后的原有木地板，强调有质感，任性的意大利DNA。

材料传承传统但是以简约现代的设计手法呈现，而不是重组旧景。最后的效果是一个温暖，非常诱人的布局，地中海的风情，并且把高品质的手工面包，咖啡，色拉，意大利面食，和甜点更短距离与顾客互动。

整体来说升级的"蜂鸟"备受太古里进区顾客的喜爱，他们逗留的时间明显更久，之前冷冰冰的感觉已不在。现在已被粗犷有质感的简约高雅取代，外加一点顽皮的关怀，显著呈现着美好人生。

现在的"蜂鸟"忠于本质，是一个颇受关注的高级意大利手工面包咖啡坊。

Colibri had always been an iconic institution at Taikooli North, SanLiTun. So when we were asked to respond to Swire's brief of upgrading the facility we were exciting to take on the challenge.

The objective was to bring the Italian heritage of Colibri to the forefront as the old interior was dated and atmosphere too cold to be inviting. First thing we instigated was to emphasize the rustic Italian DNA through the use of simple wrought iron frame, pattern tiles, terrazzo and to clean and recycle the timber floor from the previous fitout.

The materials have traditional roots however they were put together with a simplistic modern eye rather than to recreating the old world. The result was a warm inviting backdrop that speaks of the Mediterranean charm and brings the bake goods, coffee, salad, pasta, dolce much closer to the customers.

Overall the revitalised Colibri is a great hit with the Taikooli crowd, customers are much happier to sit for longer and the once perceived barrier of coldness are gone. In its place we have rustic elegance together with a pinch of naughty benevolence, all suggestive of the "good life". 

Now Colibri is truly the Italian Bakery Cafe that it was always destined to be.
